Amicus Stories

“The support workers are always positive and happy and keen to allow my son to enjoy the time spent with them. They encourage him to drive and mix in the community, helping with cooking and shopping as well as fun stuff like playing tennis.

I have found the facilitators to be very caring, courteous, and sensitive to the needs of my son. Peter Fountain has gone out of his way to try and help my son find paid employment, and his spent time with Paul making beer at Peter’s home, outside of his Amicus role, more as a friend and mentor. He is trying to help him be more independent, by looking for paid work and communicating with Paul’s Axis case worker. He also helped him get a little job delivering the Bendigo Weekly.”Fran Sokel, Mother of Paul
