Latest Update
December 31, 2020
Victoria will have new Statewide restrictions come into effect from 5pm today.
Further changes will occur regarding the Victorian border and from 11.59pm 1 January 2021, Victoria will close its borders to New South Wales.
Under the changes, any Victorian currently in the Green Zone in New South Wales will have until 11.59pm tomorrow night (1 January 2021) to come home to Victoria. This does not include Victorians in the Blue Mountains City Council and Wollongong City Council local government areas, which are categorised as Red Zone.
If Victorians return from the Green Zone before 11:59pm on 31 December 2020, they will need to get tested and quarantine at home until they get a negative test result.
Any Victorian arriving from the Green Zone after that time and before 11.59pm 1 January 2021 will need to get tested and quarantine at home for 14 days.
Victorians in the Blue Mountains City Council and Wollongong City Council local government areas must arrive before 11.59pm on 31 December 2020 and quarantine at home for 14 days.
Victorians are strongly advised to not travel to NSW.
Masks are now mandatory in indoor public spaces.
