Everyone in Australia will be offered a safe and effective free COVID-19 vaccine.
The vaccine rollout is being delivered in phases so that the most vulnerable Australians receive the vaccine first. Australia is currently in phase 2a of the COVID vaccine rollout.
What does this mean?
This means that any of the following people are able to receive their free vaccine:
- People aged 50 years and over
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 16-49 year
- Frontline health care worker
- Aged care and disability care staff
- Critical and high risk workers
- Healthcare workers
- Household contacts of quarantine and border workers
- Critical and high-risk workers who are currently employed including defence, police, fire, emergency services and meat processing
- Quarantine and border workers
How can I check if I’m eligible?
Use the COVID-19 vaccine eligibility checker to find out when you can receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
If you are eligible, the Eligibility Checker can help connect you to a service provider including a GP or community health service.
- You will be able to view and select a location based on the postcode you enter.
- A list of vaccination clinics and participating GPs will be made available as they come online. This includes high-volume vaccination centres and Victorian health services.
- More appointments will become available as more clinics come on board.

Where you can receive a COVID-19 vaccine
Anyone who is currently eligible can book an appointment to receive a vaccine through the following sites:
- General Practices
- Community Health Services
- Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services
- High-volume vaccination centres.
If you have a pre-existing medical condition and you have concerns or questions about getting a COVID-19 vaccine, the best place to get your COVID-19 vaccine is at your GP. Your GP will be able to talk to you about your health. People who are aged over 70 are still encouraged to receive their COVID-19 vaccine at their GP.
Bendigo Health COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic
Bendigo Health’s COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic is located in the Old Emergency Department, 10 Stewart Street, Bendigo, 3550.
The Vaccination Clinic is open from 10AM – 5PM, seven days a week. The clinic will accept walk-in appointments from 10AM – 12PM and 1PM – 5PM.
If the clinic reaches its walk-in capacity for the day you will be given the opportunity to register for the vaccine.
Bendigo Health is providing the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to anyone aged 50 and over in the Loddon Mallee community.

Please bring your medicare card and some form of identification.
