Disability Services Commissioner (DSC) works with people with a disability to resolve complaints about disability service providers, and we work with disability service providers to improve outcomes for people with a disability.

RIAC Advocacy

RIAC provides advocacy assistance to people with disabilities and Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islanders. An advocate may speak on your behalf, write a letter with you, assist you to understand and resolve problems and / or complaints, sit by you in meetings to provide support and assist with decision, gather information about other agencies and services that may be of interest to you, provide referrals, and assist you to advocate for yourself.

Gay and Lesbian Health Victoria (GLHV) is a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) health and wellbeing policy and resource unit. GLHV is funded by the Victorian Government and sits within the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS), La Trobe University.

Val's Cafe

Val's Café was established in 2009, as a project seeking to improve the health and wellbeing of older lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex (LGBTI) people. Central to this aim is creating safe and inclusive services that recognise and value older LGBTI people. This is achieved by working directly with service providers to foster an understanding of the unique histories and experiences of older LGBTI people.
