Supported Independent Living

What is SIL?

Amicus provides Supported Independent Living (SIL) to participants so that they can live as independently as possible.
SIL is a 24/7 support, funded through the NDIS, which aims to ensure you get the services you need, when you them. We will work with your existing providers and encourage you to maintain your community participation.

What does SIL look like at Amicus?

We work with you to individualise services to meet your needs so that you can live as independently as possible. Our aim is to enable you to work towards your goals and valued roles, enjoy community inclusion and live your best life!

Amicus works one person at a time. This means we plan your services with you and ensure they are individual to your needs, goals and lifestyle. You won’t need to share goals or accommodate the needs of others in your service design.

We welcome you to be involved in choosing your own staff.

We are here for you!  We believe that everyone should be able to live where they choose and participate in their community. We work hard to create these opportunities for you.

We value each person and welcome everyone for who they are and what they bring.
